Settled by workers who help build the Shubie Canel and the Railway.(approx 1785+)

Lantz

Name came from three brothers who moved from Queens County to Milford (@1890). Was first given the name of Lantz Siding.

Milford

Was known from 1758-1858 as Shubenacadie in the township of Douglas.

In 1858 the railroad went through and then was known as Wickswire Station in honour of the Wickwire family.

Name was changed to Milford in 1870.

Shubenacadie

@1740 first settled.
