SBA - Sequence of Inspection
Sequence
of Inspection
The
following items must be thoroughly inspected to constitute an official
inspection:
- Verify
legal registration (Certificate of Registration, Vehicle Permit or Bill
of Sale)
NOTE: Plate Owner is deemed to be the Registered Owner
- Ensure
documentation corresponds with actual vehicle description
(e.g. make, year, VIN,
etc.)
- Remove
and destroy existing inspection sticker.
- Check
all glass.
- Check
rear view mirror(s).
- Check
horn.
- Check
brakes.(front,back emergency)
- Check
windshield wipers/washer and defroster.
- Check
steering and suspension systems.
- Check
exhaust system.
- Check
fuel system. (visual inspection on tank and fuel lines)
- Check
lights. (high and low beam, brake, right turn, front and back etc.)
- Check
tires and wheels. (rims)
- Check
coupling (if applicable)
- Check
chain or drive shaft guard. (where applicable)
- Check
body components including seat belts.
- Check
auxiliary equipment.
- Select
and complete appropriate Motor Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
- Validate
and affix approval or reject sticker.
- Sign appropriate
inspection certificate
